hey Kathyz! Glad to hear from you. I share your convictions on this. if you don't "get it" when it comes to the basic concept of HUMAN RIGHTS, then how can you defend the rights of some humans with a clear conscience.

I don't understand how Evangelical Christians can with a clear conscience vote for a person who refuses to protect the most innocent and weak among us.

You cannot fight one evil while justifying another.

While left-wing Christians argue back that they refuse to be a "one issue" voter, it seems to me that most other issues are also firmly rooted in the basic ethic of life. Refusing to defend the most helpless citizens doesn't give you much voice for other crises, in my opinion.

(I hope I wasn't too controversial!)

I think Mr. Obama just admitted that the Presidency is above his paygrade - and that he is in over his head.

Watching these videos motivates me to do whatever I can to make sure there is a community organizer job for him after November 4.

sweet word brick. you hit the nail on the head. it's hard enough to touch on this issue without "christian" organizations like matthew25 mucking up the water. and AMEN, God is still in control.

mike...i'm afraid you're right.

thanks Adam, that video collection is pretty powerful.
straightforward and to the point, with the exception of the umm, uhh, umm, ahh, last video. quite sad to hear, but then again, i didn't expect anything less. I saw it live on tv. I just watched it again a couple of times and wanted to shake my laptop as though it was an etch a sketch!

i really liked the way the first two videos show what an abortion is in regular people terms. I know i've posted before that the issue of abortion doesn't have a visual/face like other political issues. So, it kind of goes by the wayside, unfortunately.

needless to say, i'm a little dismayed at the matthew25 people. i don't think they are getting the big picture here. He may very well be a good husband & dad. That doesn't mean he fully understands issues like abortion. Based on the 'answer' he gave at Saddleback, I'd say, he doesn't get it. Also, looking at his radical voting record, I'd say he doesn't get it either.

We must get the word out to educate people, because we won't get help in the media and with groups like matthew25 it makes our efforts that much tougher.

The great thing to remember is that God is still in control of everything eventhough it always doesn't seem that way in our eyes.

Pray without ceasing!

Good presentation Adam. The progression of thought makes the point loud and clear.
I'd heard Obama's comment about the statement on when life begins, but hadn't heard his fiddle faddle on why he is for abortion. His ability to equivocate is really subtle and could dupe lots of unsuspecting people.

Amen, Steve!

In this case, agnosticism about when a baby has rights says a lot! Especially when you consider his vote against and outspoken opposition to the IL bill to protect an infant born alive in the performance of an abortion.

I'm just wondering - did Obama actually say anything during that last 3 minutes? He seemed to work really hard to have no real position

Thanks Herm! I agree. I would encourage anyone who feels the same way to cut and paste the web address for this post into an e-mail and send it to as many people as you can.
